| BRIC is working on the development of fully automated robotic aircraft coating and coating removal systems, in cooperation with several aircraft manufacturers and governments. We have successfully designed and installed the first phase of this development work, and we are now in the design stage of the second phase, which will include specialized mobile robots with sophisticated vision, guidance and collision avoidance subsystems. Maintaining the same philosophy, these robots will not require predetermined trajectory path programming, but will be equipped with our proven real-time contour following technology. | Driven by an Environmental initiative, the mission of this development work is in successfully proving robotic technology that can address the challenges of full aircraft coating and decoating systems for aircraft ranging in size from small two seater aircrafts to large cargo planes. Automating these current manual processes will reduce VOCs, and wastage, and improve working environments, not to mention increase productivity and quality.
