Automatic Coating Removal Stripping Decoating

Automated Coating Removal, Decoating, Paint Stripping Systems

BRIC Engineered Systems

BRIC supplies complete automated coating removal, decoating, depainting and paint stripping capability. Many remanufacturing operations currently use manual labor combined with toxic chemicals in decoating processes. Automating these processes results in a better working environment for employees, and cost savings for the employer. Various technologies and methods are available for coating removal, decoating, and paint stripping applications. BRIC can help you choose which is best for your specific parts and coatings.

Automated systems offer improved ergonomic working environments, better process control, consistent paint removal, and reduced labor hours. Such technology is applicable to many industries including: Remanufacturing processes, Automotive components, Full-aircraft systems, Aircraft components. Whether the parts are large or small, automation is an alternative worth considering. Call us today to discuss your coating removal requirements.

Robotic Laser Coating Removal

Laser ablation is the process of removing material from a solid surface by irradiating it with a laser beam. With proper parameters, the material is heated by the absorbed laser energy and vaporizes or sublimates. The amount of material removed by a single laser pulse, depends on the material's optical properties, laser wavelength, and pulse characteristics. Laser pulses can vary over a very wide range of duration (milliseconds to femtoseconds) and energy characteristics, which can be precisely controlled. The use of laser technology as a viable alternative technology for remanufacturing operations has been proven through successful installations.

Laser ablation with a pulsed laser has been proven to be a sound technology in the application of removing coatings from aircraft components. Robotic Laser Coatings Removal Systems for aerospace applications are currently being utilized at Department of Defense (DoD) and at commercial facilities.
