High Speed Pick and Place Systems

The BRIC FIS Flexible Intelligent System with Pick & Place Robot is ideal for manufacturers of small parts. The FIS System is able to pick, place, unscramble, sort, orient, assemble, process, glue, and/or inspect small parts at a high rate of speed. The design minimizes part movement, reducing and in most cases, eliminating potential damage to delicate parts. Minimal operator intervention is needed, only requiring occasional Hopper refill and unloading of the out-feed conveyor. The compact design makes good use of precious factory floor space with approximate dimensions of 1.5 m by 2.0 m. The FIS Pick & Place System comes with very powerful software that can be customized to include lot tracking, data acquisition, quality control, and much more. Unsorted Parts are placed into the Hopper by the operator where they are automatically fed to the Feeder for presentation to the vision system. Up to eight different parts types can be fed at once. The vision system identifies and locates the parts, and Robot #1 picks them in sequence and presents them to Robot #2. Robot #2 places the parts on the fixture/pallet, assembling the parts. Robot #2 can be fitted with numerous end-of-arm tooling for drilling, fastening and other functionality.
